Daylong Retreat

Embracing Lovingkindness: Cultivating Connection Through the Brahmaviharas

Join us for a day of deep practice as we prepare to leave winter and make way for spring. The focus of the retreat will be on the Brahmaviharas, (The Four Divine Abodes or the Sublime Abidings).

2. Karuna (compassion)

3. Mudita (empathetic joy or appreciative joy)

4. Upekkha (equanimity)

We'll spending the day in sitting and walking meditation, with guided practice and several Dhamma talks.

From Hinderances to Happiness: A Comprehensive Vipassana Course

Six Tuesdays, Beginning Mar. 17th
with Gregory Maloof

The class will include Dhamma talks, discussion groups, reflections, and a meditation technique practicum (with lots of opportunity to customize tools in your vipassana meditation toolbox.) Students will come away with a strong foundation and understanding of vipassana which will prepare the way for more advanced practices in jhana. There will be a jhana class taught by Gregory later this year.

SPECIAL NOTE- Limited to 10 in-person participants. First come, first sign up. The class will also be available simultaneously on zoom. Class sessions will be recorded and available weekly.  There is a place for you to indicate on the registration form how you will be attending class. If you have existing plans where you know you will not be able to attend more than (1) class please sign up to be online, not in-person, to give an opportunity for those who would prefer to be physically in the classroom and have availability for the full class term. (This does not include illnesses that may arise, but existing schedule conflicts due to being out of town, etc.) Class runs (6) concurrent Tuesdays beginning Mar. 17th.
